Fav11 is a game where you get to lead a virtual football team to glory, in competition with other participants from all over the world. Fav11 is a simple game, it's easy to grasp the basics. You can play Fav11 even if you just log in once or twice a week (but we hope to see you more often). The challenge is not to beat the game, the challenge lies within the competition with the other participants.

Your overall tasks
You perform the duties of both manager and club owner. You plan tactics and strategy, decide what to train and select which players that should play. You buy and sell players, invest in arena improvements and much more. To be successful a good piece of advice is to form a good strategy and a long term plan.

Your team
When you take charge of your team it has just got the highest vacant slot availlable in the Fav11 series system. To start your climb upwards you got a squad of players, an arena and some money to your aid. Now it's time for you to show your magic.
You can always change your team name, but some of your fans will leave your fan club.

Region and weather
Your team belongs to region, a region which you probably have a relation to. Regions are there so you can check out other people from the same area as you. Another important function is that each region has its own weather. All regions are equally good so you don't have to worry about making a bad choice.
Weather affects attendance (less people will watch your games when it's raining if your stadium is not covered).
If you want, you can change region. It will however cost you 1.000.000 € and 5% of your supporters will leave your club.

Competition
From each series the first 4 teams are promoting to a higher league and the last 8 are relegating.
The first 4 teams from the main league of each country will play at the start of a new season in Fav11 Cup, the Fav11's best competition. The first 2 teams from each second league will play in League II Cup. And the first team from each third league will play in League III Cup. Everybody have a chance to accomplish something because Fav11 is a neverending football game.

Each player has 12 skills, while there is also their condition affecting the performance. Let's have a rundown on the various skills first:

Goalkeping	The ball should not make it into your own net.
Reflexes	How fast a player reacts at a certain situation.
Positioning	The ability to predict where the ball will be.
Tackling	The ability to stop opponent attacks.
Marking	The ability to follow the striker.
Heading	How good he plays the ball with his head.
Crossing	The ability to make a good cross.
Passing	Players who know how to pass the decisive pass are a great help for the team's attack.
Creativity	How smart a player is in the field.
Off the ball	How good is with out the ball.
Finishing	The ball is supposed to go into the net.
Stamina	How long can he run.

Different players need different skills
All players don't need to be good in all skills, but stamina is important for everyone. Sometimes it is good enough if a player is good in just one skill (other than stamina), but you will get the most out of your player if he is good on several skills. Which skills a player benefits from depends on the position he will play, for example:

Goalkeepers (GK)	Goalkeeping is needless to say important for goalkeepers, and only goalkeepers. They also make good use out of reflexes and positioning.
Central defenders (DC)	Defenders should naturally have a lot of marking, tackling, heading and positioning.
Wing backs (D L/R)	Tackling is most important, but they also benefit a lot from marking, crossing and passing.
Inner Midfielders (MC)	Having good passing in the inner midfield positions is a key ingredient for most successful teams. They also use their creativity, off the ball and finishing.
Wingers (M L/R)	Naturally profit from crossing, but passing is also important. In addition, they also use both their creativity and off the ball skill.
Forwards (FC)	Their number one task is to score goals, making finishing their number one skill. Off the ball is also valuable, and so is creativity and heading.

Changes in skills
The skills slowly change over time. All skills can be improved by training as long as the player lives, but as players get older they will also start losing a little of their skills. Everything about changes in skills is described in the chapter about training.

As the manager for your team you decide how your team will play and which formation to use.

Starting line-up and substitutes
For each match you select your starting eleven players and your substitutes.

You can play with any formation you want.

During the game
At any moment during the game you can change the formation and give diferent team orders. There are maximum 3 substitutions (better make them in the second half).

Finding the right lineup is one of your biggest challenges in Fav11. In this and the other match chapters we will focus on how the players' skills come into play in a match. This chapter will give you the basics - the most important things to know.

The basics of the match simulation
In each half a number of attacks are made, and the midfield decides which team gets each attack. The team with the strongest midfield is most likely to get the largest number of attacks. When a team gets an attack it is decided what kind of attack it is. There are three types of attacks (right wing, left wing, centre). The attacking team's attack for that sector will then try to break through the defending team's defence for that sector.

The basic
The home team is helped by their fans. Ordinarily you have a larger percentage of possession at home than away. If the game is played on neutral ground, neither team receives any advantage.

Coach's mentality
The coach's mentality (if he's offensive, defensive or neutral) also plays a part. Read more about this in the "The coach" chapter.

Team rating
During the match, you will get a team rating for each part of the team. These ratings tell you how well different parts of your team performed in the match and these ratings are also what matters in the actual match calculation.

Players ratings
All the players involved in the game will receive ratings during the match.

Every day you get to choose what kind of training you want your players to concentrate on in training sessions.

Trainings will update every monday, wednesday, friday and saturday.

Player age and skill level
Younger players are in general faster learners than older players.
Apart from age and skill level there are two factors deciding the effects of training: the training type and the coaching staff (head coach and assistants).

Potential
When a player reaches his maximum potential his attributes will stop improving.

Training type
There are 12 types of training to choose from. All of them make your players better at something.

Coaching staff
If you have a good coach, training will be more effective than if you have a bad one. Assistant coaches also increase the effect of training.

Basic principles
It does matter if the player plays a game or not. If he plays in a game, then he will train two times faster.
Depending on position, the player can receive a type of training or not:

GK:	goalkeeping , agility , positioning , stamina
DC:	marking , tackling , heading , positioning , stamina
D L/R:	tackling , marking , positioning , crossing , stamina
DMC:	tackling , positioning , stamina , marking , passing , off the ball
DM L/R:	tackling , positioning , crossing , stamina , marking , passing , off the ball
MC:	passing , off the ball , creativity , finishing , marking , tackling , stamina , agility
M L/R:	crossing , passing , off the ball , creativity , stamina , marking , tackling , finishing , agility
AMC:	passing , off the ball , creativity , finishing , agility , stamina
AM L/R:	crossing , passing , off the ball , creativity , stamina , finishing , agility
FC	finishing , off the ball , creativity , heading , agility , stamina

Skill decrease
When a player gets closer to the age of 31, he loses a little of his skills each day. How big the decrease is depends on how old the player is and the level of skill he is at. Older players also suffer from bigger decreases than younger ones.

Your coach is an important person responsible for training and inspiring your players.

Coach abilities

Coaching:	A skilled coach knows the right methods to train players in order to make them better. The more talented your coach is, the more effective the training will be.
Motivating:	Apart from planning training activities, your coach is also an inspirational source for your players. Your team will play better if your coach will motivate them.
Style:	Your coach can be offensive, defensive or neutral, which affects your team's performance during the game. An offensive coach improves your attack at the expense of your defence and a defensive coach improves your defence at the expense of your attack. A neutral coach is neither offensive nor defensive, which means he doesn't aid any team part.

Ability deterioration
After your coach has been in your club for one season, his motivating will start to deteriorate. Once your coach reaches 10 motivating, the deterioration starts hitting his trainer skill instead.

Change coach
If you are not satisfied with your coach you can recruit a new one.
When you recruit a new coach you first decide how good you want him to be and then you decide what tactical type of coach you want. Each combination of motivating and coaching has a fixed price, the better trainer the higher price.

As the club manager you are also responsible for your team's finances. You pay the expenses and collect the income every day.

Revenues and expenses
On the finances page you can see your budget for this week and last week's financial status. This is what the entries mean:

Revenue
Gate receipts:	Your income from league matches. See the stadium chapter for more information on crowd income.
Merchandising:	The amount of money you receive from the club's shirts sold
Transfers:	Money received from player sales.
Sponsors:	Each day you get a sum of money from your sponsors. Check the "Fans and sponsors" chapter for more info.
Other Income:	All your one-off incomes are accumulated here, such as prize money.

Expenses
Stadium decay:	The daily cost for running and servicing your arena. See the stadium chapter for more info.
Wages:	Each day you pay your player's and other staff members salaries.
Transfers:	Money payed for new players.
Other expenses:	All your one-off expenditures are accumulated here, such as stadium increase.Also the daily cost for your youth academy.

Both sponsors and fans control important sources of income.

Suporters
Every day new suporters will join or leave your club depending on your team performance. The more suporters you will have the less will join.

Sponsors
Sponsors prefer supporting a club sporting a good "image" to which they can be connected. The more successful your team is and the bigger your team's fan club is, the better image (and the more sponsor money) you'll get. Spokespersons also help to improve the club's image.

Your club will start off with a small stadium, which you will have the opportunity to improve throughout your Fav11 career. On the stadium page you can see and manage all details about your stadium.

Income and costs
Your arena can have two types of stands, each having their own income possibilities and daily upkeep costs.

Ticket prices:

In the match reports from home games you're able to see how many seats were sold. The home team takes all the income.

Your crowd appearance
How many spectators visit your arena largely depend on your fans. Your fan's size of your fan club is the most important crowd factors. Other team's number of suporters is also of importance.
The weather naturally also matters. Fewer spectators will visit your arena in bad weather, but those who come will be more interested in buying more expensive tickets and sitting under covered zones. It is therefore possible that your total income will be similar in any weather.

Improving the stadium
To improve your stadium you will pay 110.000 € for the construction start. Each items will have their price.

Your staff help you manage and improve different things in your club. There are a two types of staff members available:

- Assistant coach: Improves the effect of training sessions for your players, as if you had a more skilled coach.

- Spokesperson: Improves sponsor and fan attitude towards the club.

Staff management and costs
Each staff member costs you 2000 € a week.
If you want to fire a staff member it will cost you 2000 €.

For each match you can order your team to use a certain tactic. Each tactic has its advantages, but also disadvantages – so choose carefully. There are five tactic types.

Counter-attacks
Counter-attacks mean you deliberately let your opponent control the ball, and as soon as they fail with an attack you try to make a fast counter-attack. Playing counter-attacks could be a good option if you have a very good defence and attack (but a bad midfield).

Attack in the middle
Attacking in the middle means your team focuses on attacking down the centre of the pitch, at the expense of attacks on the wings. In other words, you trade wing attacks for attacks in the middle.

Attack on wings
Attack on wings means you trade middle attacks for attacks on the wings. As there normally are less attacks in the middle than on the wings, you convert percentage-wise slightly more of them.

Play long balls
If you have a week midfield but you don't want to defend because your strikers are good, then you can skip the construction phase by playing long balls.

Ultra Defensive
- Advantages: add 40% to defence;
- Disadvantages: remove 40% from offence;

Defensive
- Advantages: add 20% to defence;
- Disadvantages: remove 20% from offence;

Offensive
- Advantages: add 20% to offence;
- Disadvantages: remove 20% from defence;

Ultra Offensive
- Advantages: add 40% to offence;
- Disadvantages: remove 40% to defence;

The transfer list is where you acquire new players and try to sell those players you don't want to keep. The bid page gives you an overview over all the players you're either selling or bidding on.

Selling a player
To sell a player you place him on the transfer list, which you do from the page of that particular player. You choose what price you're asking for him and he is placed on the transfer list. The player will be on the transfer list three days before going to the club that has offered the most, provided somebody has bid for him. A sold player disappears off to his new club immediately after the bidding is over, except the period if he is playing for his club. If a buyer isn't found he stays at your club. Remember, once you transfer list a player you can't change your mind. If you do change your mind, the only way to keep the player is to buy him yourself.

Buying a player
To buy a player you visit the player market. You search for what kind of player you want and to make an offer you enter the page of the player by clicking on his name. You must raise the bid by 20.000€ or 2%, whichever is greater.
You may bid on a player right up until the deadline. If someone places an offer less than 3 minutes before the deadline, the deadline will be extended for another 3 minutes right on top of the point in time that the offer was made.
The seller must pay a tax of 7% of the money received from the transfer. If no buyer is found, the team is taxed with 7% of the asking price.

Fair Play in the Transfer Market
Good players and money are key aspects of Fav11, which makes it very important that no team benefits from abnormal activities in the transfer market. This means that buying players at inflated prices is prohibited. If you see something strange please contact us.

You can acquire new players for your regular squad by recruiting youth players.
Most clubs put a lot of money into their youth academy, but there are also those who spend less money or none at all, buying reinforcements from the transfer lists instead. However, if you do decide on building up your academy infrastructure, be prepared that it might take some time before your investment pays off with reasonably able players.

Every day you're allowed to make a large (50.000 €), medium (25.000 €), or small (10.000 €) investment into your youth academy. If you reached maximum level at the academy you make sure of regular small investment else the structure will deteriorate. It is known that if you invest 50.000 € daily in the youth scouting, you will reach the maximum level in 80 days.

You're only able to promote one young player per 48 hours. If you don't change the amount, the amount invested the previous day will be drawn.
It'll cost the club 20.000 € to move a junior up.

A Fav11 season is 70 days long: 30 league rounds (16 teams in each series who play each other twice). The games will be played on tuesdays, thursdays and sundays except the cup games that will be played on wednesdays and fridays.

The division tree
The number of league levels can differ from one country to another, but the basic structure is always the same. For instance, the Italian series system looks like this:

16	League V	(V.1, etc. to V.16)

Promotion, relegation and qualifiers
First four from any series will advance directly to a higher division.
If you end up under the 8th place you will be relegated to the division below (except for the lowest division).
The final standings are determined by, in order of importance, points, difference between scored and received, goals scored and finaly goals conceived.

Prize money
All the teams will get some prize money. How much you get depends on your place and in which division you play:

It's the ultimate goal to win the Champions Cup.

The first 4 teams from the main league of each country will play at the start of a new season in Champions Cup, the Fav11's best competition. There are also 2 more cups but for lower leagues( League II Cup and League III Cup ).

The cup is also a good opportunity to make some extra money. The big money is in the crowd revenue.

Champions Cup fixtures
The cup is always played wednesday and friday at 18.00 server time. There are 10 rounds, every round consists in home-away games. If there is a draw in the end the away goals count. If it is still a draw, then they go to a penalty shoot-out.

It's a lot of prestige to win the League II Cup or League III Cup, for your fans it is more important than the league because it is a world wide competition.

League II Cup
The first 2 teams from each second league will play in League II Cup.

League III Cup
The first team from each third league will play in League III Cup.

If your team wins any cup than your name will always be remembered.
